Our classrooms
Two designated classrooms beside the courts and restrooms. Grades 3–5 and 6–7 learn in separate groups, with up to 10 students per room.

Each classroom has its own Texas-certified teacher serving as learning coach, with certified substitute teachers available for coverage. Your coach helps students stay on pace and adapts project-based lessons to their levels. Laurel Springs provides coursework, assessment and academic support.

Parents complete checkout and wait at the entry for their child after dismissal.
The learning coach coordinates lunch, court transitions and pickup. Life Time member families may follow club check-in procedures to escort a student before class or collect them after class ends.
Only students and approved Academy personnel enter during class. Staff undergo background checks; the learning coach holds teacher certification. Authorized pickup and staffing arrangements are reviewed during enrollment.

Athletic development & tennis
Movement, coordination and tennis skills at the right level. Life Time’s SMART approach matches equipment and coaching to age, development and readiness.

The Academy’s tennis coach at Life Time Frisco.
Academic groups and tennis groups are separate. Life Time’s junior pathway progresses through red, orange, green and yellow ball; coaches review age, experience and readiness to identify an appropriate available group.
If group participation is difficult, we discuss placement options together. Families may choose private lessons for individual coaching at an additional cost.
SMART considers stage of development, maturity, athletic development, repetition and practice, and tournaments as players progress.

Campus-day LifeCafe lunch is included. Share allergies and dietary needs so we can confirm meal options.
We stay off outdoor courts during extreme heat or cold, rain, unsafe wet conditions, thunder or lightning. A coach leads indoor training when suitable space is available; otherwise students remain indoors for supervised learning or an appropriate activity.
TAC communicates changes and closures. Outdoor activity resumes only when safe, including at least 30 minutes after the last thunder or lightning.

Life Time Frisco’s tennis facility received a 2024 USTA Outstanding Facility Award.

January 13, 2027 entry · Semester tuition per student
$500 nonrefundable registration. A verified paid Discovery credit can cover it for the assessed student. Discovery is optional.
No payment now. TAC confirms admission and availability before a place is secured.
Personal equipment and devices, family-wide club membership, transportation, optional private lessons, outside tournaments and travel, summer programs and any additional specialist academic services.
Exact monthly payment amounts are reviewed in person and confirmed in a written schedule before enrollment.
For monthly TAC services, give notice by the 15th to stop the next month’s billing once the initial commitment is complete. Payments already processed are nonrefundable. Prepaid TAC services and Laurel Springs enrollment have separate terms below.
The monthly TAC plan has an initial three-service-month commitment, followed by monthly enrollment for the remaining program months. Your written offer identifies those first three months and the earliest withdrawal date. You may give notice at any time, but payments remain due through the initial commitment. Email admin@theathleticcollegiate.com by the 15th of the current month (Central Time) to stop the next month’s billing once that commitment is complete. Notice received after the 15th stops billing one month later. Monthly payments already processed are nonrefundable.
Prepaid TAC services remain committed through the current school-year quarter. Unused future quarters of TAC services are refundable; the current quarter is not prorated by day or month. Your written offer lists the quarter dates and TAC amounts separately from Laurel Springs tuition.
Laurel Springs tuition is included in the package and paid upfront unless a different arrangement is agreed in writing. Withdrawal and any school refund follow the school’s own enrollment agreement. Leaving TAC does not automatically withdraw your student from Laurel Springs.
The $500 Academy registration fee is nonrefundable. A verified paid Discovery credit can cover that fee for the assessed student. Unused Discovery enrollment credit has no cash refund if you choose not to enroll; the assessment, report and planning services are what the Discovery purchase provides.

Parent questions
Have a question about your child’s situation?
Laurel Springs teachers provide individual guidance, with 24/7 supplemental tutoring through Tutor.com. TAC helps students identify questions and connect with that support. Laurel Springs reviews more intensive needs with your family; specialist services such as IMPACT may carry an additional fee. We discuss support needs during admissions so you can assess fit.
Academic groups are grades 3–5 and grades 6–7, with up to 10 students per classroom. Each student follows their own Laurel Springs courses and assignments. The learning coach supports individual pacing and brings classmates together for project-based lessons with tasks suited to their levels.
Beginners and developing players can be considered. The Life Time team reviews age, experience and readiness separately from academic grade grouping. If the group is not a good fit, we discuss available placement options. Private lessons are optional and cost extra; they are not included in Academy tuition.
Laurel Springs requires a Windows or Mac laptop or desktop with an up-to-date browser and reliable internet. A Chromebook or tablet should not be the primary school device. Families receive a program supply and tennis-equipment list so they can see what is provided and what they need to bring.
Tuition includes the student access required for the Academy program. It does not include a family-wide membership. Your enrollment offer specifies any access available outside Academy hours.
Yes. Additional coaching and competitions can be arranged outside the Academy schedule. Discuss travel and recurring absences with TAC and Laurel Springs so coursework, attendance and training arrangements can be reviewed.
We are enrolling for January 13, 2027. The waitlist is for a later opening or a suitable group that is not currently available. Your written offer confirms placement, the semester calendar and payment dates. A consultation request is free and does not reserve a place or authorize payment.
No. Student Discovery is an optional assessment and planning service. A verified paid $500 Discovery purchase can cover the assessed student’s $500 Academy registration fee. Registration is nonrefundable, and unused enrollment credit has no cash value if you do not enroll.
